Who is helping whom

Pictures and story by H. A. RAD Translated by Mona. AFIFI January 2007

That day nothing was in order.

"OH MY!" said Mummy sadly.

"What can I do? The kitchen is full of unwashed dishes and I am too tired to do something!"

Little Amir was playing in his room. He heard his mother's voise and ran to the kitchen to help.

In the afternoon Amir went to the park which was not far from their house. He suddenly saw  the young shopkeeper sitting on the ground

"OH, You little boy!" He said painfully. "Would you give me a hand? I've fallen down and I'm suffering from pain."

Amir gathered his chickens and helped him  get up, and he walked towards his shop, while thanking Amir with his smile.

On the way back home, Amir saw their neighbor, seeming very tired and trying to start his car.

"Ah…h…h…, it doesn't work!! It may need some water." He whispered.

Little Amir found some water for his car.

'' A toy!" Shouted Amir when he saw a doll on the sidewalk. He kept silent for  a while, and saw a little girl on the balcony. The doll was hers. Little  Amir gave the doll to her, she laughed and carried on playing.

Another day Amir was walking on a bridge and suddenly his foot…

"O…H…MY LEG!! I can not move it."

After a while he saw that little girl having her doll and running towards him.

Amir's friends came one after another and helped him and took him to the hospital.

Little Amir was pleased for helping the others. He believes that when people help each other, things get easier.

What do you think?
